On Sundays, we would awaken to the aroma of a savory tomato sauce that Mom called Sunday gravy. Our breakfast consisted of Mom's hand-made meatballs on top of a slice of Italian bread, with a pool of her savory Sunday gravy. I still think about the times my brothers and I would sneak into the kitchen to quickly take more meatballs. We use that recipe to make this dish, the only difference is that we wanted to make a better version. We used meatballs made of turkey raised without antibiotics, ancient grain KAMUT® pasta and Mom's savory tomato sauce made from organic vine-ripened tomatoes. The cheese is still grated in-house, just like Mom use to do by hand.
